I am a researcher and dramaturge who is writing her PhD thesis “The EU as a curator in a transnational theatre world” at the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis. I occasionally teach at the department of Theatre Studies.

My work revolves around the search for connections between research and practice, writing and doing. After my study in Arts and Culture at Maastricht University I have worked as marketing manager, director’s assistant, writer and dramaturge for festivals, theatres and in cultural projects. I also completed the Master in International Performance Research at the University of Amsterdam and University of Warwick. My MA thesis ‘Theatre as a vortex of behaviour in Dutch multicultural society’ won the 2011 thesis prize of the Theatre Institute Netherlands and has been published. On the Facebook community page Transnational Opportunities you can follow & share vacancies and calls related to arts and culture. Locally, I am in the Supervisory Board of KUUB, a foundation that provides an online and offline platform for the amateur arts in Alkmaar.
